The Department of Pharmacy Services is a dynamic department with a progressive clinical focus, staffed by pharmacotherapy specialists, pharmacists, pharmacy residents, interns, technicians, messengers and a highly dedicated management team. The department participates in all aspects of medication safety and dispensing with state-of-the-art computer systems and technology. Dispensing services are achieved with a balance of professional, technical and automated services, including a complete sterile products intravenous admixture service, TPN (intravenous nutrition) compounder, and robotics

The department maintains several residency programs that are accredited by the American Society of Health-systems Pharmacists. Our team also trains students from six colleges of pharmacy. Students and residents train to provide care at the “top of their license” in the advanced practice model afforded by the hospital.

Pharmacotherapy specialists provide expertise to our patients, as well as health provider colleagues 24 hours a day, year-round. Our board-certified pharmacotherapy specialists are credentialed and available to provide care within the following care areas:

• Pediatrics
• Critical Care
• Emergency Medicine
• Infectious Diseases
• Oncology/Cancer Care
• Adult Internal Medicine
• Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacogenomics

Our board-certified pharmacotherapy specialists are also available to see you on an outpatient basis in one of the many collaborative drug therapy management clinics offered by the hospital. To be seen in one of these clinics, a referral from your provider is all that is needed. These pharmacotherapy clinics include:
